This Buyer Code of Conduct outlines the standards expected of all buyers using 404200. By creating a campaign or engaging with publishers on the platform, you agree to follow these guidelines.

404200 exists to support ethical, transparent editorial citation collaboration. As a buyer, you are responsible for engaging with publishers in good faith, respecting editorial independence, and avoiding practices intended to deceive users or search engines.
What Buyers Are Expected to Do
As a buyer on 404200, you agree to:
- Propose collaborations that create genuine value for real readers
- Respect publisher editorial control at all times
- Be transparent about your intent and goals
- Agree to disclosures and link qualifications before publication
- Use outreach that is honest, respectful, and non-coercive
- Pay agreed-upon compensation promptly through approved workflows
What Buyers Must Not Do
Buyers may not:
- Purchase or request links as standalone commodities
- Request or pressure publishers for undisclosed paid links
- Request paid dofollow links or unqualified references
- Demand specific editorial outcomes in exchange for payment
- Use deceptive, misleading, or manipulative outreach language
- Create or submit content solely to manipulate search rankings
- Circumvent platform safeguards, verification, or escrow
If a request would not withstand public disclosure, it does not belong on 404200.
On Disclosure and Link Qualification
When compensation or consideration is exchanged:
- The relationship must be disclosed
- Links must be appropriately qualified (e.g.
sponsoredornofollow) - Terms must be agreed upon before publication
Buyers acknowledge that editorial references are not ranking guarantees and that search outcomes cannot be promised.
Verification and Accountability
Buyers agree that:
- Citations are subject to verification before payment is released
- Citations may be monitored over time
- Non-compliant citations may be rejected or reversed
Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Enforcement
404200 reserves the right to:
- Reject campaigns or proposals that violate this Code
- Suspend or terminate buyer accounts for repeated or serious violations
- Remove access to platform features where misuse is detected
These actions are taken to protect publishers, buyers, and the integrity of the platform.
Acknowledgement
By using 404200, you acknowledge that:
- You are participating in editorial citation collaboration
- Transparency and disclosure are required
- Ethical behavior is a condition of access to the platform
